Weekend Blessings program

This program provides weekend nourishment for over 700 needy Hernando County students who, without this assistance, would not have sufficient food on their table.  Please bring in an item or two to put in the donation box in our Social Room.  Example of items need:  Canned chicken/tuna, spaghetti & meatballs, ravioli with meat, individual cereal packs, cereal bars, canned soups, shelf milk boxes, pudding snack packs, and etc.

CHILDREN'S art contest rules

Grand Prize  $500

1st Place       $200

2nd Place     $100

3rd Place      $75

4th Place      $50


Theme:  My favorite thing.

  • Contestants must submit artwork on paper no larger than 11 x 17
  • Crayon, pen, watercolor and acrylic may be used.
  • An entry form must be filled out clearly and completely using the child's home address.  The form must be attached to back of all art work before submitting.  Failure to do so will result in disqualification from contest.
  • Sponsoring members MUST provide their contact information/Aerie # with children's submissions.
  • Contest will be judged on basis of originality, relevance to theme, as well as artistic ability.

Westside elementary school

Westside Elementary is a Title 1 school in Spring Hill.  Currently serve over 500 students in our community.  At this time, our students are in need of essential clothing items:  most importantly new socks and new underwear, however clothing donations of any type will always be graciously accepted by our Tigers.  Please bring in an items to put in the donation box in our Social Room.  These families need our help and support.

Spring Hill Operation Backpack

Open to all children K thru 8 attending Hernando County Schools.  Volunteers and donations needed.  This is an annual event the first Saturday in August.  Planning meetings begin in July, so keep your calendars open.

Angel Tree

Continuing to support our community, in December on our Christmas tree will have the names of Children in our community that need  the spirit of giving.
